University of Portsmouth (Learning at Work) BSc in Creative Technologies and Enterprise

All our programmes follow our 2+1 system, studying two years in Istanbul and one year with the UK partner university. The last year of this course will be studied with the University of Portsmouth via distance learning and it can be studied wherever is most convenient for you and you can schedule your studies around your existing commitments.  

In the media, film and television sector, it’s essential to keep your skills up to date if you work in the Media industry.  In the BSc (Hons) Creative Technologies and Enterprise Learning at Work course, you can sharpen your media skills and get a degree while you work.

Progressing to level 6 is subject to the successful completion of the first 2 years at Axcel and meeting the university entry requirements.

Year 3

  • Learning and Management module (40 credits) *
  • Work-based learning Project (40 credits) *1
  • Work-based learning Project (40 credits) *2

*This module includes 3 assignments.  Firstly, completion of Definitive learning contract, second is a research methods assignment and lastly, end of contract report

*1*2 This project involves the student completing a project that is based in the workplace.

The Media Production programme consists of eight mandatory units and seven core specialist units.

Assessment

The purpose of assessment is to ensure that effective learning has taken place of the content of each unit. Evidence of this learning, or the application of the learning, is required for each unit.
